
Today’s VCAT hearing has resulted in a mediated outcome between Aurumstone and the Melbourne City Council. Council has agreed to an additional setback level (Level 18), Level 1 now as apartments, and the incorporation of revised layouts which positively provide for more natural light into living space for future purchasers. Aurumstone in return will need to change the use of the basement tenancy which is currently permitted as a nightclub, but notably we had already commenced the process of doing this in any case. This is a fantastic result for all!! In particular, our future purchasers who will benefit from additional natural light, and will need not have any concern of a nightclub outside the apartment complex entrance.
